Using a table saw to cut the rudder

Picture
If you have access to a table saw ,making straight cuts on your rudder and ailerons can be done fast and efficiently .I happen to have a sliding table but you could use a cut-off box just as effectively (google woodworking cut-off box).A carbide blade with at least 80 teeth  will allow you to cut within 1/32 of your dimension.A piece of styrofoam shoved into the cut line will prevent any chatter ,though I just held it firmly.

Dremel Saw Max

Picture
Dremel makes this saw which makes quick work of cutting the elevators.Easy to control and as you can see I cut within 1/16" of my line.

Orbital sander for cleaning up to the line.

Picture
I used my orbital sander with 100 grit sandpaper to clean up to my line.It took about 3 minutes to complete.
I am a great believer in power tools but it helps that I use these tools in my cabinet making business.
Still they are tools that you would get a lot of uses out of .IMOP.
