Nose Wheel

Picture
No big issues.Just follow the plans and all will be revealed.I bent the steering linkage in my vise using a hammer to get the 15 degree bends.

As can be seen the cable had to be moved to the right to run smoothly through the hole in the firewall
I used 2 - 3/16" spacers that I made.I will replace the 1st spacer with a 1/4" spacer as it will move the cable to the middle of the hole.I have no idea why this has not been brought up yet but if I did it according to plans the cable would be rubbing severely on the left side of the hole.I will also replace the finer nut with a castle nut and cotter pin.

I notice a few builders are buying a special adjuster for the cabe tensioning.I see no reason why the supplied steering springs won't work.I am at least going to try.
1st I had to open up one of the curves enough to get it in the hole in the steering linkage.

You have to squeeze the ends together and force it back through the spring.

Piece of cake.

So far so good
